THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS 📌
MATH:
We will finish up Chapter 2 this week! Students will practice solving real world fraction problems and review the major concepts from the chapter. Our final assessment will be on Thursday.
READING WORKSHOP:
This week in reading we will put into action all of the fiction comprehension skills we've been practicing so far this year! Our class will begin a whole class book club, using the text Rules by Cynthia Lord.
Additionally, our guided reading groups will. begin this week as well!
WRITERS' WORKSHOP:
We will begin our third writing unit of the year, Personal Narratives. This week students will explore personal narrative writing and focus their work on special objects, interesting events, and sensory details.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
This week in social studies we will wrap up our Colonization unit! Groups will share their colony presentations with the class!
