What a week...We have just one more IAR Test to finish this week, and then we have a quick break until our ISA Testing begins!
HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED LAST WEEK💡
**ABBREVIATED DUE TO IAR TESTING**
MATH:
Last week in math we continued moving through Chapter 9. Students practiced converting metric units and solved real world decimal problems.
READING WORKSHOP:
Poetry continued last week as students practiced building bridges between poems.
WRITERS' WORKSHOP:
Our Opinion Writing unit continued last week. Students developed their concluding paragraphs and met with writing partners for peer feedback.
SCIENCE:
This week's Ecosystems lessons focused on the idea that all food energy can be traced back to the sun.
THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS📌
MATH:
We will wrap up Chapter 9 this week with our final assessment on Friday.
READING WORKSHOP:
Our Poetry unit will come to an end this week as we examine figurative language and themes across poems.
WRITING:
It's revision week this week in writing. Students will revise their persuasive essays for sentence fragments, commas, and paragraphs.
SCIENCE:
We will move on to our next cluster of Ecosystems lessons that focus on waste and decomposers.
